If you are lucky enough to be going on a trip anytime soon and you like to travel with carry on baggage – this month’s tips are for you.

You probably know the joys of trying to get all your toiletries into that little plastic bag you get at the airport and I have learned the hard way to not try and take to much.

So while what toiletries you take will depend on your specific needs, I have found a few things I always use and a couple that have multiple uses.

This may be controversial but I have stopped taking shampoo, conditioner and body wash with me recently. These things are usually pretty inexpensive and accessible plus every hotel and air bnb I have been to the last couple of years or so has had plenty of pretty good shampoo, conditioner and body wash. These things are on your body a short time and personally I don’t get to picky about them. If you are really trying to save space, one of my strategies is to skip taking these things with you!

Below are three of the things I always take with me.

Baby oil. Or just plain mineral oil if you don’t like the fragrance of baby oil. This little bottle can take off makeup, moisturize your entire body, help with shaving and make your skin glowy. It takes very little to really work and it is bargain. A runner up in this category is a mini vaseline. I love these baby jars of vaseline for lips, cuticles, even a thin layer for facial moisterizer. It is so good for sealing in water and vaseline is one of the least likely things to be allergenic.

Davine Oi All In One Milk. If I am going to be skipping bringing my own conditioner, I want to make sure I have a good hair product with me. My hair is dry and frizzy so I like this product to make if soft.  Love the hair oil as well!

Tom Ford Black Orchid. I love to bring a fragrance when I travel because it makes me feel good to wear it and it makes me feel at home where ever I am.  Fragrance is super subjective and personal and this particular one is not for everyone! I love it for a night out and the staying power on me is fabulous. Honorable mention in this category for me is Kayali Vanilla.  Travel size fragrance to a good way to buy a scent – they are much cheaper and I never usually go through a full size fragrance anyway.
