As the year wraps up, there’s often a lot of “best of” reflecting. This time, I’m giving myself a little shout out by sharing recordings of some of our favourite Zoom classes from the past year. Each one highlights a different aspect of fitness and since you know I’m all about strength training, I’ve added a bonus strength class as well.
Mondays – Restore & Recover
These classes are all about slowing down, stretching, and relaxing. They’re gentle, nourishing, and good for recovery. For this class you will need a chair and a rolled towel.
Wednesdays – Mobility & Cardio
This class focuses on getting your heart rate up, improving joint mobility, and practicing getting up and down from the floor. It’s a great way to fit in some at-home cardio and carry an endorphin buzz into the rest of your day. The recording I’m sharing even includes pillow slams—just in case you need to blow off a little steam.
Saturdays – Yoga Flow
This class takes a more traditional approach to yoga, with the flow built around sun salutations. Steady, familiar, and grounding. You will need a yoga block for this one.
Bonus – Basic Strength Training
You’ll need a step stool and whatever weights you have on hand for this class. Simple, effective, and focused on building strength you can actually use.
Online classes aren’t everyone’s favourite, but for many of us they tick a lot of boxes. You can do them anytime, roll out of bed without turning your camera on, move at your own pace, and yes, stay in your pyjamas if you want. During the recent cold snap, I was especially grateful to be able to keep up with my fitness from home.
