At no point in life are we not getting older—but I feel like we age in chunks. When you’re young, it’s barely noticeable, but every so often, I’ll suddenly feel older. Sometimes it’s physical, sometimes it’s tied to life changes.
Here are three things connected to those changes that I am loving this month.
1. My skincare “holy grail.”
You know I love my skincare! I’ve been using this glycolic acid body lotion that has completely changed my skin. I used to get red, itchy rashes on my chest and arms, especially when I got overheated (thank you, menopause). My doctor prescribed a steroid cream that helped for a bit, but the rash always came back. Once I started using this exfoliating lotion, the rash disappeared—and it hasn’t returned. I haven’t needed cortisone cream since.
It also claims to thicken the skin, which is a bonus since thinning skin is something many of us deal with as we age.
2. Lash and brow tinting.
The second thing I am loving this month is having my lashes tinted. Having a professional lash and brow tint here has given me some color and definition to my face which, as I get older, seems to disappear. The eyebrows are especially good to provide some structure to the face since as we age we lose both color and fullness in our brows. The lash tint works well for me too since my lashes are blonde.
3. A YouTube channel I’ve been loving.
This one’s for anyone thinking about downsizing or selling their home. The creator offers practical advice for people over 60 who are preparing to sell. I’m not putting my house on the market just yet—but it’s definitely something I’m thinking about for the future! This video made me laugh.
