I recently got my house ‘inspected’ to see where I might be leaking heat and the guy who came to do it mentioned to me I should replace my smoke alarms. Although I replace the batteries every year, he told me I should have new alarms with carbon monoxide detection. In fact he was adamant. He told me a couple of horror stories and long story short I now have brand new smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
Now you are probably much more on top of these things than I am but if you have had your old detector for awhile, please consider upgrading!
Another thing I am loving is having a membership to some new things. A membership model encourages commitment and engagement with things that are important to you. I have an online membership for yoga classes. This summer I plan to become a member of a CSA (community supported agriculture).
I also have a membership to a movement gym that has been a game changer. The membership aspect really encourages me to go more often and therefore see real results. I pay per month so the more I go, the cheaper it gets. I should have done it sooner! We all know you can’t do something once in a while and really get any benefits. I see it in my classes, especially when people are new. They often put anything and everything before their movement practice. Once every couple of weeks is not enough!Â
The third thing I’m getting on board with is Asian skin care. I have been hearing about the superior sunscreens in particular, and i’m kind of obsessed with sunscreen. Plus this plumping gel from Japan is amazing.
I was holding off because it seemed sort of ‘extra’ as my daughter would say to order sunscreen and skin cream from Japan.
Now that I have them though, I wish I had ordered them sooner!Â
